Q: Why can't I access the full text of an article, ebook, or PDF?

There are several reasons why full text may not be available.


Common cause: 

  • You are not logged in through MYSTTHOM
  • The library does not subscribe to that resource
  • The content falls outside the library's subscription coverage
  • The eBook, journal, or PDF may have temporary access issues

Try these steps:

  1.  Access the resource through the library website, Discovery tool, or A-Z Database List.
  2. Verify you are logged in using your MYSSTHOM information.
  3. Search for the journal or eBook title in the Discovery tool.
  4. Look for a "Find Full Text" or library access link.
  5. Try another database if available.
  6. Refresh the page or try downloading the PDF again.
  7. Allow pop-ups for the database website if needed. 

If the article or eBook is still unavailable, the library may not subscribe to that specific journal, eBook, or issue.
