Q: How do I link to articles and other digital materials from off campus?

Most of our databases provide a "persistent link" or "permanent link" to article records and other items. But often, the link supplied by the database does not work when you are off the campus network.

To use persistent links when you are off campus, add the following code to the front of the link supplied by the database:
http://ezproxy.stthom.edu:2048/login?url=

For example, if the item's persistent link is http://www.jstor.org/stable/20683124, you could access the item from home with this link:
http://ezproxy.stthom.edu:2048/login?url=http://www.jstor.org/stable/20683124

Instructors can use this method to post direct links to articles from Blackboard, or through emails.
