Plagiarism Tutorial

The library recommends the tutorial, "Plagiarism and Academic Integrity at UST". It gives an overview of how plagiarism is defined at UST and instructions on how to avoid plagiarism through proper use of sources. It checks your progress with quiz questions after each section.

When you have successfully completed the tutorial's quiz questions with a score of 70% or better, you will be allowed to "Continue" to a certificate. Enter your name, then print the certificate to hand in to your instructor.

If you need a certificate, be sure to do the tutorial on a computer with a printer attached. Or, see the instructions for an Electronic Certificate below.

You must use a computer with Adobe Flash Player to access the tutorial (no iPads). Adobe Flash Player is available for free at

Electronic Certificates

If you prefer to take a screenshot of the certificate page and your instructor has given you permission to certify your work in this way, follow these instructions to take a screenshot with a Mac or these instructions to take a screenshot in various versions of Windows. You may need to paste the screenshot into an image file or document.

Jing is a simple and free third-party application for taking screenshots.

Follow your instructor's guidelines for turning in the screenshot image, whether by email or uploading the screenshot file to Blackboard.
