How do I get a full text copy of an article that I found in Google Scholar?

The easiset way to see if the Doherty Library has access to an article is by using our journal list available here.

Be sure to search for the name of the journal (not the name of the article). The results page will tell you if the journal is available, what format it is in (print or online), and what coverage (years/volumes) is available .

If the journal is available online, click on the name of the journal title to be taken to the database that contains the journal.

If a journal is unavailable, the search result will read "We found zero titles for your search."

When this is the case, you can request the article using interlibrary loan. This is a free service for UST students and faculty. Be aware that interlibrary loan requests take time to be processed. Since the articles being requested are being provided by other libraries, the fulfillment time is impossible to predict.

The form to make a request is available here.

If you use Google Scholar regularly, you may want to setup your account to automatically link you to full-text articles available through our library resources. The instructions to do this are available here.
